Specialists in reclaiming unwanted building materials

About us

The volume of  waste from the building industry became the driving force behind the idea to set up Tiger Enterprise.  Our aim is to reclaim, recycle and re-use as much of the construction waste and excess as possible. Especially when considering the waste of natural and irreplaceable resources used to manufacture them in the first place.

We are the first company in the UK to operate fully encompassing the ethics of reusing and recycling materials in an aim to reduce the effects and damage to the environment that the building industry is having as a whole. The service we offer means we collect all re-usable and recyclable building materials unlike some companies that are only interested in the highly profitable architectural salvage.

Reclaimed building materials are those that have been salvaged from the waste stream and reused in their original form, with minimal reprocessing. They may be cut to size, adapted, cleaned up or refinished, but they are fundamentally retaining their original form.

Since we started trading we have been involved with local councils and have been instrumental in convincing local builders and construction companies not to 'skip materials' left over at the end of  developments. Our range of materials can vary from Victorian fireplaces to reclaimed bricks, or materials 'as new' left over from building sites.    Our customers have the satisfaction of knowing that not only are they contributing to saving the environment but they are also saving money.

All materials purchased from Tiger Enterprise Ltd has embodied CO2. The embodied CO2 of a materials is the CO2 required to abstract the raw material, process, manufacture and deliver it. This is important because it is CO2 emissions that create green house gases and lead to global warming. Embodied CO2 is also known as a carbon footprint. We can calculate the embodied CO2 of all of our materials that are for sale. This means you can work out how much carbon you are saving in comparison to purchasing from a local builders merchant .
